| I am receiving a ton of interest from the ACABC website! Right now I have an aggressive German Shepherd in for two weeks of training. He is still a pup and responding well to me. I also have training sessions set up with a woman who has two puppies and another client through a referral. Not all of the people who contact me through the ACABC follow through, but at least I am getting the interest. Tania Jackson CBC |
In addition to receiving calls from potential training/behavior clients, I recently received a call from a Marketing firm that was interested in a professional consultation for pet products. This firm had already spoken to vets and breeders and wanted a behaviorist's opinion as well; a professional that works with people and pets on a regular basis. They did not feel comfortable with just 'trainers', and found me through searching on the internet. Of course they came up with ACABC and were quite delighted to see that such an organization exists. I went to the meeting and was paid quite well for 40 minutes of my time. The consult was on housetraining pads, how and when to use them. The firm has asked if they could call upon my professional services in the future as they conduct research for clients and products which they represent. It was fun to be a behind the scene consultant, and to know that our opinion really counts. Dorrie Wilson, CBC | |
